Switching servers soon!

Dear customers, people, furries, scalies, foxes, bunnies, slaves, mindless zombies and gentlemen!

We will be switching webhosts in the near future.  I'm hoping for a clean transition without problems, however, you may see the cart, forum or ticket support site go down for some hours.  That would be unexpected, and this transition is expected to occur within 2-5 days.

With the change however, there is a slight catch and a new rule unfortunately.  Any images displaying adult material with penetration cannot be allowed on this site.  So, any pictures (including drawn) cannot contain 'penetration' which would be defined in this case as anal, vaginal or oral.  This will pertain to attaching images to posts (under additional options) or using the image codes [img ] and [/img ].  However! What is allowed under this is actual linking to an offsite image!
I will be trying to find a way to still allow images and pictures without breaking the ToS of the hoster, but still make it user and review friendly.

Well good luck Tal, that would suck if we couldn't post images like them. Do what you can, if you can't you can't, we wont hold you to it.

How do you manage to find the lamest hosts on the planet? LOL

Would you prefer I got the "Cheep deducated hosting $1.99 month UNLIMITED bandwith and 10TB of space! Dual quad core processors and 32 gigs of memory! ORDER NAO!" server?
Anyways, the new host offers what we actually need.  Under current circumstances, we cannot stay with the current provider and while searching for a new host, this was the best we could come up with without having extra issues.

I just didn't know hosts were so picky about what you give them money for... lol I guess they might be afraid of getting sued for any kind of pronz you might put on their site...

I don't think it's just the forum. I think it's the whole site including the shop and such.

It's actually partially sensible.  A porn website usually has loads of visitors, and a constant upstream of porn.  If this is on a shared server (read: shared/vps shared) it can create issues for the other clients.  Alot of porn sites are also hosting viruses, or linking to websites that are 99% virus and 1% assrape virus.  With 0-day's, this could compromise the security of other clients again.  That would result in the hoster being kicked and the other customers possibly being sued or reputation slated.

With the restriction, it keeps the bad of the bad off their servers.  I find it's a wise choice, however, I do think exceptions should be made on a per-case basis.  I cannot go into the details, but there's only a limited amount of ways for me to allow the content to be "on" here.  For you users posting reviews and the like, it's in the first post.  More "behind the scenes" stuff though

For hosting it on your home computer, there's more issues with that than just staying with our new host.  It's also very likely against your ISP's ToS anyways, and when they see what we pull daily for bandwith they'd take you out



Now, onto why I was actually going to be posting.  Issues have been fixed and I am transferring the cart now.  Next up will be the ticket site and lastly the forums.  Once those are all done, you shouldn't notice more than a few minutes of downtime.
