Pretty obvious question. Other than an inch or so on the Timber, there a big difference? The website actually says that the Timber has a .1 inch -less- in the knot than the Helmutt. But, considering the wide range of errors on size variation between here and BD, I'm beginning to ignore sizes altogether >.> So if anyone has both, can you please link to picture of them side by side or atleast give a good impression of whether or not it's valuable to get a Timberwolf if I already have a Helmutt. (Yes, I already have a Helmutt) Much appreciated.

I own the Timber, but I don't own the helmutt. However, I am pretty sure the only difference is in the length and the texture. If I was in your position, unless you really like the Timber, I wouldn't really bother with it. However, that's just because I am a tight ass.

Well the main difference here would be the shape of the knots, the Helmutt has a flat and wide knot while the Timber got a rounded knot.
This in turn presents the problem with the measurements, the only measurements on the helmutt knott is the widest across thickness, The timber got more detailed measurements like Knot circumference.

ZP is in the progress of updating the measurements, Timber is updated but not helmutt. SO I would recommend that you measure your Helmutt's Knot circumference and compare those instead as that gives a more accurate size diffrence pictures since the knot shapes vary Smiley

Then decide if ya want it or not, generally the Timber is just bigger, rounded knot gives a little different feels and for me at least is easier too insert that flat ones like the helmutt

I'm sure it was mistyped as .7, it's supposed to be 7 I believe.

At any rate, thanks for the help guys-- I've decided to upgrade to the Akita. For the longest time I didn't think it was a good idea looking at the measurements, mostly do to the fact that when I started out I had the boxie with 2" knot from here, and I upsized to the 2.5 of the Helmutt. That seemed to be a reasonable jump and I was able to take it in step without much problems. However when I went to BadDragon and purchased a toy with a 3 inch knot (another logical step considering I knew what a .5 inch difference felt like) it was much larger than one would think. Larger than my fist. Needless to say, if that was a "3" inch, a 3.5 would be a really bad idea. However, after talking to some people it's clear to me the measurements might as well be ignored since they by no means are as accurate as they could me >.>

Akita it is. And it's already in Mold Queue o/
