One of my hobbies is fishing, so I decided to blog about it. Actually, the blog will be more like an online journal. I will share my fishing adventures with readers as well as give my opinions and advise. http://fishinginohio.blogspot.com/

Nice job on the blog/journal Bryo!! Haven't been in quite a while, but I'm fond of fishing myself. I even like catching. But my faves are Bass and Walleye for freshwater; Cod and Halibut for saltwater. I fish to get-away-from-it-all, and for the freezer. So I prefer to go after what I like to eat. Hence no salmon or trout. (which makes me persona non grata here in WA, home of salmon lovers)

However, Ayame you have the privilege of going after some really big, tough fighting fish; STURGEON. You are a rare person in that respect, besides, you probably have Dolly Varden and Steelheads to go after as well.

Oh, I have so many trips and fish I would love to catch. I fish mainly for sport and conservation of all species is important to me.
One trip I want to take is to the Columbia River for some of those huge White Sturgeon that swim there.
Another trip is to the Red River in Manitoba to hook into some of those 40 to 50 pound channel cats swimming in the boils below the dam.
I would love to fish Lake Texoma for some of the Huge Blue cat swimming there. Another species I would love to target in Texas is the Alligator Gar.
My 2 dream fishing trip... Spain for some Wells Catfish and the Amazon for just about anything that swims there.
I could name several other locations... Like the Diversion Canal between the Santee Cooper reservoirs. The James River or any of the other tidal rivers in that same area. I also wouldn't mind snagging a paddle fish.

You can catch paddle fish in Missouri and other places like that in both the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers. The largest recorded record of a Blue Catfish was taken out of the Mississippi River near Cape Giradu, Missouri. It weighed in at 150lbs. and ate a whole, dead stikinking, chicken that they had used as bait. They further used a large treble hook about the size of 9/0 or 12/0. Watch out, HEAVY tackle required for something like that, but very fun to catch. (I've caught them here in Colorado in various rivers and lakes.).
Gator Gar are very popular in places like Texas, you'll like to catch one of those toothy critters. Be careful, those teeth are razor sharp and will cut you to pieces if you're not careful. The Amazon offers Peacock and other types of Bass along with Pirhana. However, try catching an electric catfish for fun! They're big, fight hard and can be very tasty to eat, from what I have read. Remember, HEAVY TACKLE is a must for those as well.
Good luck!!
