Hey everyone. I got a quicky question. I've heard that the silicone toys should not be used with some types of lubes and condoms. So... which are the no-no's? And which are the ones to with? Any thoughts?

check the condoms themselves. the condoms generally have a lubricant on them of some sort. if the lubricant is silicone or petroleum based it can damage the silicone toy. also, leaving a condom on a toy for ext ream amounts of time (like several hours) the latex can do damage to the toy.
its just basically the same thing as lube. check to make sure its not silicone or petroleum based. if its not, then go nuts <3

Silicone Toys with the Silicone Lube end up reacting with each other. The Silicone Toy starts taking on an appearance of a bubbling, gooey mess. (See the pics of what happens in the General category the pics are pretty nasty looking). Try to avoid using Silicone based lubes with the Silcone toys. However, the gel toys don't seem to have this problem.

You could always buy non-lubricated condoms and supply your own water based lube as well, just to make extra sure.

Also, in case BB didn't tell you, your Silicone toys are TOP RACK ONLY dishwasher safe to make clean up easy when that time comes.

I don't have a dishwasher... So I clean my toy in the bathroom regularly. Sometimes take it with me under the shower for a while, makes it sparkly clean.

Yep, it's nice to take it into the shower. Especially for just a líttle tease-play before doing a full washup, hehe... I find myself washing my beloved ''Storm'' more often then really needed. Since it's standing on a shelf, and we have pets, it can get dusty/hairy quite easily. So when I see it get a little dusty, I'll give it a loving wash with just some water right away, hehe... I love to touch it, feel it...

Myself, I take my Boxie into my bathroom after use to wash it off in warm, soapy water.
For lube, I use a water-based surgical lubricant that contains a bacteriostatic agent. As for condoms. I keep a package of Lifestyles alongside Boxie in my nightstand/computer desk, but I don't use them unless I share Boxie.

Give the silicone more credit than that, medical grade silicone can take one hell of a lot of abuse, ive even used bleach to sanitize my toy, and at one point boiled it. certain chemicals can damage it yes, havent tested that myself but im taking it at word as plenty of people have said so but i know it can handle higher temps than top rack of a dishwasher, but if it falls through it could damage the dishwasher sure.
