Honestly knowing that, I have to give him a lot of respect at the speed at which he is trying to catch up. Simple number-wise, he has to be making more than 11 a day to merely get out of the hole

I've been waiting over 3 months for my item
and keep getting lied to about when it will be completed.

it would be fine if this Mr. Bear told me it was going to take 8 months to get my item, and then I could decide if I wanted to wait, but that's not the case,
it's inexcusable to take people's money and then string them along...
at the least he should be offering to instantly refund my money, which he is not!!

I'm still waiting... and waiting and now he won't even answer my emails...

There are quite the handful of well known furry artists that back log them selves to make ends meet. Some back log up and over a years worth of time. So I think Bear's doing pretty good at mostly heeling up with demand, yes he is backed up, but he can only make toys at a constant rate..

This company is run by one man. Just one!

One man needs to make all these toys (which takes time), check and update the orders by hand, package toys ready to be shipped, send the ready toys through the mail, check and reply to his mail, deal with disasters like fires and his truck breaking down, take care of his mate with heart failure and deal with supply shortages and bad weather from living in the mountains.

All of this for one guy. Yes, the order times are slow. I just got my Kit Fox from last June! However, the fact that he is trying to keep up with everyone and their orders and is managing to get everything out there is incredible, never mind the many side things going on.

The fact of the matter is that it's impossible to predict exactly how long the backlog will be without super sophisticated systems that Bear can't afford. Even big companies with these systems can't fully predict supply and demand or always make orders out on time. This is why stores sometimes runs out of things and that's with all their money, people and resources. 

Yes, your toy will get to you. Yes, it will be well-made. Bear works very hard to get all of us our toys as well made as possible. Try the support system if things aren't working, but still don't be afraid to have faith. We all are waiting on this hard working, incredible man and we all will get what we wanted. It just takes time.

I can't find your order, so I cant directly comment about it, but we have notices of mold time in several areas.  Depending on when your order was placed, it may have been after a warning was placed on the checkout page of the long wait times.  Other places include the ToS (which have to be agreed to before ordering), both FAQs, and the forums.  The reason why he may not be answering your emails is possible due to an incorrect email or your email server not working.
Issuing a refund may take several days depending on what was used.

Nobody is lying to you, and Bear has more important things to do than answer numerous emails from one person with no patience, such as make the toy you ordered so you can enjoy using it.  He had a lot of work to do all while dealing with real life and can't waste time checking his email.  Instead of getting so offended and acting like Bear is going out of his way to rip you off, you should just learn to be patient.  As I've said in the past, if you think you can do Bear's job better, please do.  I'd love to see you try.  Otherwise learn to have a little empathy and realize that ONE person sometimes has to deal with bullshit beyond their control.  I can promise you that Bear didn't ASK for his mate to get sick, his vehicle to break down, or to have a fire break out that nearly destroyed everything.

Try and put yourself in that position. What would you do if a family member or a significant other got very sick, your method of transportation broke, and your house caught fire all within months of each other.  Would you be able to keep doing everything exactly as you always have, or would you fall behind in work and other responsibilities trying to get it all taken care of?  He can't simply stop taking orders or he loses his income and his ability to order the materials for the orders still being made.  All they can do is warn that it will take a long time and hope people don't come in and pull this after only a couple months.  It's been three months, and I think that's about how long my last order took before all this happened to bear.  You're being too impatient and it's only going to make things harder for Bear.
