My panic attacks kept me up all night the other night and I ended up having cold flashes and tremors. So i think from having 0 sleep in 48 hours I ended up catching the flu or something.

Babybear! A quick remedy for a cold is to take some fresh garlic toast it in a toaster oven with some butter and salt for 3 minutes! You will get better really fast!
Quail! Drinking some warm milk about 20 minutes before you go to bed can help you fall asleep! Also listening to calm classical music such as beetohven's moonlight sonata and taking calm breaths with the music, will help you calm down!
Wishing for your health and wellbeing, MikoFaux

Well... wow. Miko's got the answers. I gotta admit, though, different things work for different people. Garlic toast certainly makes me feel better when I have a cold (I'm pretty sure it's just the garlic, tho.), but I usually fall asleep watching the Simpsons or some sort of comedy show/movie. Anything that you find relaxing will help you sleep, I think.

This would probably be a good time to mention that I love making friends. You should probably message me or something and say hi. That'd be kinda cool of you.

Actually, with a panic attack (at least with me) i have a rapid heart rate which prevents me from sleeping. It won't slow, so i can't get into a restful state to sleep. I had taken 2 Kava Kava and 2 Valerian, plus a glass of milk, and no go. I have taken two sleeping pills before last attack and was awake all night still. However, the Xanax I was recently prescribed.... THANK GOD. It worked great, but I still woke up when it wore off, heart racing. Took a sleeping pill, watched Star Trek at 3 am, was out again at 4. But nowwww..... I have a cold. x.x;

Hmmmm, when I've got a cold I burn it out. Green Chile, Hot Wings, Mac and Cheese with tons of Sriracha...yeah. Burn baby burn.
As for not sleeping, 4 melatonin and I'm out like 2010. Or I'll go PT for an hour.

Shucks, all that would do is give me killer indigestion. I get that at the drop of a hat anyway so I couldn't do that! LOL

not too long ago I had the flue, Wearing one of my wetsuits to bed worked quite well of baking it out of me in a hurry. Gave me a good headache too though, but fevers do that.

Whenever I can't sleep and this includes while sick, (time to be crude ) I rub one out (so awkward to say for some reason) or have my lovely girl do it for me. Always relaxes the muscles and for guys at least releases a whole crapton of neurotransmitters that zonk us out. Works like a charm. I would also recommend a extremely hot shower (to help steam the lungs) followed by an oatmeal bath to relax the body. Also if push comes to shove when sick, I toss on a pair of sweats and pull up half a dozen covers and break a fever the hard way

Just my annual sinus infection. Funny thing is though, I usually get these things in June or July and not December, but that's okay with me.

Ps. what's a toaster oven?
It's like a little counter-top oven that you plug into the wall. Think, front loading toaster with a tray instead of slots.
