I looked through pages of threads in different sections and didn't see a lube thread, unless I missed it. Obviously, this thread is about lubes. Any questions, recommendations, etc. are welcome.  I've only used Astroglide so far so I can't say much, but I do have a bottle of KY-warming here which I'm planning on testing out soon.  The Astro doesn't seem to last terribly long, but works pretty well for the time being. Water washes it away fast so it's not a great choice for use in the shower/bath. Any recommendations for something that last a little longer in water? |

believe it or not, and I use to be a sceptic. But j-lube in its powder form works really great. It stays long on the toy and even if you add more water to it it just stays slick and is wonderful.

it might work but i would suggest against it if you might have any bug problems. since j-lube (from what im told) has a sweet flavor/ingrediant bugs might get attracted to it, and i always reccomend washing toys before use even if they are stored in clean sealed boxes/bags.

I'm not sure using sugar in lube for women (for vaginal use) would be a good idea....our PH can be changed by so many things but I suppose for you menfolk, it wouldn't hurt. |

Why yes, yes it does! though, when you dump a bit of the powder into a condom add just a bit of water and KY, then roll it on, that snott can be quite satisfying. |

The actual use of J Lube is for assisting in birthing calves. It's perfectly safe within the body as long as you don't breach the peritoneal cavity (think I spelled that right) and get it in there. But then again, pretty much ANYTHING that gets in there can be potentially fatal.

Azelis, that might well be true for the anal cavity, since it has a unique PH. Also, bowel movements will push out any remaining lube, and keep it from hanging around long enough to feed some of the less desirable bacteria in the digestive tract. But women's vaginas are a totally different story. The body chemistry that keeps them healthy and "self cleaning" depends on microscopic bacteria and a specific PH range. Products containing sugar (including peanut butter), change the PH balance of vaginal secretions. It provides food for microscopic yeasts, and improves the growing environment by reducing the acid balance which keeps those yeasts in check. Glycerin does the same thing to many women, which is why so many products now use cellulose or other thickeners/dispersal agents. We're already vulnerable, since the our elimination areas are SO close to the vagina, making us vulnerable to what they call "bacterial migration" from one area (where it might be harmless) to another area (where it causes problems). Example: When having anal sex with a woman in doggy position, keep wet wipes handy and use them often. Gravity causes lube to drip down, carrying bacteria with it. Prevent her from getting vag or urinary infections by wiping up the drips before they get there. Just like with sexy food play, products like J-lube, which contain sugars or yeasts should not be put into the vagina or close to it (like on the lips or clit). And if you use them on yourself for pawing, be sure to thoroughly wash your genitals before having sex with a female partner. Not ALL of us are sensitive to the same items or to the same degree, but any good Gynecologist will tell you that sugars and healthy vaginas are incompatible. |

is astroglide good to use...im not planning on using it with a toy in the shower...just wondering cause i ordered 2 5oz bottles at $7.50 each lol
