Freaking out because..

I have been getting mail lately- and not just from businesses with pro printed labels, but also things shipped to me by people. I still live with my family and got another package today.. my Mom said 'Stop getting mysterious packages or I'll start making you open them in front of me."  I couldn't think of anything to say so I just said "Okay."

Seriously though, what the F%^#??  It's illegal to open someone else's mail- a federal offense actually, but the law can't do anything about someone saying 'either open your mail in front of me or your kicked out.'  I really don't know what to do.. a P.O. Box big enough to recieve my mail is 540$ a year! I'm thinking of spending it just to get that crazy person off my back, but it's a big chunk of money.. My question is, if I get a P.O.Box can I guarantee that my packages from Zeta can get mailed there instead, even though they've already been ordered but not completed?

Because if I spend all that cash on a P.O. Box I don't want to get an inconvenient package or two mailed to my house and then have big problems here and a lot less money to boot.

Yikes hun.  Mine is only 35 bucks a year but its a mailing postal place.  I would see if you can find one cheaper and yes they do ship to P.O. Box addresses. I know what you mean my never got that severe to where it was open in front of me or else.  I just had to get more clever about when I snuck them in.  Best wishes hun.

Shipping addresses change alot, so you can just send in a ticket to get it changed

I second that YIKES! one from Knotme! All you can do is your best to have the packages sent elsewhere for the time being and remember, we are here to help you as best we can with suggestions, support etc.

Hyena Glitter. You don't have to actually have one the size of the package you received. I only have a small cubby hole one and they place a slip in it saying you have a package and you pick it up at the front desk. So no worries you can get a cheaper one easily and without trouble. Just get it at your local USPS office and you will have no trouble at all.

Same boat here, though if my dad say the toys, that would mean being kicked out or having to throw them all away, one or the other.

Get a PO box if you can. (If you're allowed out and go places and such, then it shouldn't be an issue.) Or have things mailed to a friends' house. I do that with some things, he doesn't mind, so it helps me out.

well. you could always do what i did to my mother when she kept askin about packages i was recieving "well... i could tell you wants in them" and then proceeded to tell her in detail exactly what i had been receiving ... she hasnt asked since because i think i broke her brain...XD

Sounds like something I would do. But then I"ve been on my own since 18 so...never had this problem.

Okay I think the problem is solved. I went to UPS because their P.O. Boxes are actually cheaper than USPS, so I've got that all straightened out and Bear and the other company have asked me to email them about the new address so everything should be good.

Today my Mom did randomly ask "what was in your mail yesterday", this time while we were home alone, and I told her it was personal. She already knew I had one vibrator cuz she stumbled upon it accidentally (but didnt freak out, it was a normal one!) so if she pesters me persistently I will just say the old one stopped working so I ordered a new one and a cleaning product. That shouldnt be too much of a problem and if she asks what previous packages were I will just say what I said before and name random stuff like clothes and books/videos, because that's the last thing I need.

Anyway thanks guys, it seems the previous problem has met a good conclusion and everything should be fine from here on out.

Glad to hear that has worked out for you Hyena, only one thing if you keep saying your replacing the "dead" vibes she might think theres a bigger problem that her daughter has an insatiable sexual appetite.  Best wishes to you hun  *hugs*
