    Does anyone here like monsters?

I'm defining "monster" as any creature combining features of animal and human form or having the forms of various animals in combination, and was originally meant to frighten people. So no, furries don't count, but werewolves would.

If you like monsters, which are your favorites? Do you like sexualized monsters (ex: "monster waifu") or just the scary kind?

To start the thread, I'll pass along three examples. Smiley
    1) The basic "animal monster"- a pair of mothers and their young
    2) A humanoid monster - A fire elemental
    3) A sexualized monster - an orcish "pin-up"

My favorite monster is a Gargoyle.
I am currently working on a romance about one. the following pic is of Vincent and Emily, aka the Elder Ena.

I have a gargoyle in my front yard who I begged my mother for when I found him bound in her back yard. She gave him to me before they left for Florida. I have always had a fasination with them. They are much more revered in my eyes than vampires.

My second favorite would have to be Dragons. Umm, I have many dragons.
If a dragon and human mated, would you not have a Gargoyle?

I love monsters! Cheesy  All types. Scary ones, sexy ones, furry/scaly ones... gryphons are my favorite, truly sexy critters they are.  My monster fetish is what got me into furrydom in the first place, because I'd find porn of werewolves and other such nonhuman critters.  :3  I'm a straight-up xenophile and furry fandom is probably the most likely fandom to be accepting and receptive to that <3

    I like monsters too! Smiley

Anything wolf-like or canine is really awesome but other ones are cool, like sea-monsters as well!

I've always liked monsters.  Dragons, werewolves, not really vampires though.

Sometimes the sexiness of a creature can be all about how its portrayed.

I like mosters who dont look like humans, like vampires for example. The werewolf [and another wereanimals] was a all time favorite of mine.

The gigant monsters like godzilla or king kong too! They are part of a new kind of mitology now.

Okay, they don't look truely monsters, but I thought they were cool. More like faries, but I love faries too.

You know its kind of funny, most times whenever I am watching a movie where there is some kind of monster in it, I always want to just like sit back and talk to the monster and be its friend rather than kill it.

I always kinda feel sorry for them, depends on the Monster.
But yes, I agree, I'd like to befriend them more than hunt them down. I love the old movies like Lon Chaney as the Wolfman, or Boris Karloff as the Mummy. I watched the Wolfman the other night in fact.
Maybe that is why I am so attracted to beasts such as Gargoyles. They are sexy, mysterious and haunting all in the same motion. Ummm.... make's me "horny" LOL

Sometimes the sexiness of a creature can be all about how its portrayed.

    Most definitely!

The Vampire we know and love today, for example, started out as a bloated rotting corpse of a cursed man who was buried improperly by many European traditions. It was a mindless killer and not sexy at all. Then along came Varney the Vampire, the first "sexy" vampire and the inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula. Things waned for a bit after that, but Anne Rice and her homoerotic vampires heated things back up and vampires are still hot today!

I'm not sure I have a favorite monster, well, past Freddy Kruger, but he has a soft spot mostly just because I grew up watching Nightmare on Elm Street. My dad had weird notions of what was a good "kids film". He sat us down to watch Nightmare on Elm Street with this explanation "Hey kids- watch this film and learn how to defeat your nightmares!" He also showed us Cujo so we wouldn't pet strange dogs and Carrie so we wouldn't bully people. Mom was not amused.

I like researching assorted creatures and poking around in folklore. You find interesting things if you look around! For awhile I had fun looking at the unicorn variants (I think the hermaphroditic Quilin is my favorite) but at the moment I'm on a shapeshifter kick. I just finished a long non-fiction novel on werewolves and and trying to pick what I look into next.

My Favorite Vamp... of couse.. I know they weren't as romantic as they are today... Would have to be Gary Oldman as Dracula... OMG... he was so fucking hot and sexual. Yes, I'd love for him to bite me... you can guess where!LOL

I also love the Beast from Beauty and the Beast... when I read the book as a child I just loved him.

Some disney movies kinda made me wish I could be in there and be one of the animals/creatures in them and have my way with them.  Such as The Lion King, I always thought Nala was kinda sexy.
