Didn't feel anything up here in the Denver, Colorado area. The earthquake's epicenter was some 300 miles southwest of my location near the town of Valdez, Colorado. Wink Cheesy

I didn't notice it as I was driving at the time, but my mom did. She thought it was just her imagination at first that her parked car was shaking. Neither of us were hurt.

I didn't but I live on the west coast, and earthquakes happen around here all the time. Just look at this page that is updated every time there's a shake:

I'm on the coast of NC and didn't feel it but I'm sure we're going to feel Hurricane Irene in a few days!  Sad  Hubby and I just got back from hurricane supply shopping.

Between the two quakes, but Colorado's and Virginia's... it's good to know that no one was hurt or killed. I lived in California for a year, I didn't like the ones I felt, even though they were small.

Now, the bigger worry for the East Coast... Hurricane Irene...
Today, we remember 6 yrs after Katrina hit the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, wiping everything from Pearlington to Moss Point and the leves breaking because of the force of water flushing into New Orleans, and cities and towns as far north as where I live close to the capital, Jackson. Even over to Mobile and Florida.... I only pray that this one making it's way up the eastern coastline doesn't strengthen and take out lives as Kat did here. I was devisitated when I went down to my old stomping grounds on the coast a year later and found it still barren. I will never forget that as long as I live.

    Take care and be safe....

Felt the quake here, and soon will be getting hit by operation irene.  Black dragons going down Cheesy

I may be gone for a few days after Irene hits land, depending on if it takes out power/the house.  God I hate all these delays I've had in working for the past few months :|

Me, three... sometimes coastal living sucks. I hope the storm loses power quickly and does little damage. On the bright side, we're bunkered down over here with lots of food, water, and board games to keep everyone entertained.

I was driving when it happened, so I didnt feel anything, but with as bad as the roads here are in WV, it probably made the ride even smoother Tongue

My mate was at home, and he said it shook the house, and sent the cat running around like crazy.

I'm not surprised by the cat running around; animals are VERY intune with things like that. Glad to see you back up and running again. Wink Cheesy Grin
