I'm rather new to whole "alternative toys" thing, but I loved the Zeta designs and pricing so I ordered my first non-human a few days ago... looking forward to getting it, and maybe making a few forum posts in the meantime!  
(BTW, despite my name I'm not really a "furry" so to speak, more like a non-furry-furry-fan O.o)

Back in the old days it was fine to like furry art and animals in general and not have a fursona or call yourself "a furry". Those people are called "Furry fans".   Heh, I remember back when calling yourself a "furry" confused people because the term just meant the art subject and not the fans. Man, life is funny sometimes.

:O Oh wow, that's really interesting, thanks Red-Black!  I love furry art and everything but I just really don't feel like I have a fursona or something, lol.  But I very much admire the people who do- I think they're not just creative but more capable of defining and expressing their inner traits and dreams. <3

It's OK- back in the day almost nobody had fursonas.   There's nothing wrong with not having a fursona and I know a lot of cool artists, writers, and general furry fans who still don't have one. I've been in the fandom over 13 years now and still don't have a fursona.

I like looking at all the things people come up with, too. Sure, there's about a billion porn-star build wolves, dragons, cats, and foxes, but sometimes you find that one really cool concept that makes looking around very worth it! Of course, porn stars are fun, too, but for completely different reasons.

When it comes to fursonas I personally prefer ones that "look" like the artists, I think it shows a deeper connection to the art than "idealized" ones.
