Hey guys, im new around here That would be really nice of you to helping me out. I bought my fist zoo toy a Natural Akita and im waiting for my lovely big boy. Actually i want to know that is it safe to use Silicone Glide whith these toys. i mean there are some toys in the market that silicone will harm their coloring because mine will be in natural coloring. so is Silicone lubricant safe to use with these toys? Thank you all PinkWolf

No. Avoid having silicone touch other silicone at all costs. Especially silicone lube. This may end up 'melting' your toy. Using a water based lube would be better, such as jlube (jeffers lube). It comes in powder form and when mixed with water you get lube. For $10 that will make you a few gallons.

I would follow Talarath's advice and avoid using Silicone lubes at all costs. I have heard that some of the customers have used condoms over the toy and then washed the toy really well afterwards, wrapping it in the provided baby powder without any problems, but again I would stay away from Silicone based lubes with the Silicone toys.

Silicone lubes will destroy a silicone toy over time. Even if you used a condom it wouldnt stop the lube from touching, as it would coat your paws, and then youd touch the toy during and after use, so it would cross contaminate the toy with the lube.. I use and only recommend waterbased lubes for the toys.

yeah, silicone is a no-no. chemically, the suspension fluid that suspends the silicone in the silicone lube will try to 'suspend' the silicone from the toy; effectively dissolving your toy to saturate itself in silicone particles.
the same can be said with oil-based lubes for either gel or silicone toys. just not a good idea with 'rubber' toys... glass and steel however... *koff*

I personally use Astroglide and KY gel mixed together and finds it works really well.

I'd like to add in a quick tip: when in doubt, test it out!
Pick a toy you don't mind marring the base of and rinse it with water very well. Then turn it upside down and smear a bit of lube on the bottom. Wait two days then rinse it off. The results can be surprising!
I actually found that certain water based lubes react poorly to silicone. Typically the "hypoallergenic" ones are the ones you need to keep an eye on. So far I have found that Slippery Stuff Gel and KY Sensitive both can damage your toys. I know KY (regular gel, not sensitive) and Astroglide are safe, however.
Crazy, isn't it?

i used slippery stuff gel and never had an issue myself, tho i mostly used that in short uses and most of the time after already lubing the toy with jlube. cant use KY and a few other lubes due to sensitivity issues. yea best bet is to test lubes out on your own untill each maker or someone endorsed by them gets samples of every lube and starts taking photographic tests to show damage done over time. also unless your condom is unlubricated then be careful as some condoms are lubricated with silicone lube.

i know this is off subject but how do i know my order is being worked on right now? it is late but you or somebody wrote on the order page that things are backed up. i tried to get in contact with you, you might be busy or so. i was looking forward in having my toy already do to im a new customer, and all. im not upset or anything. my order is #4662 the ruff jr. i clicked the 3 to 5 or 7 day delivery plan.which would have been yesterday or earlier..its only one day late so far, im not to worried of yet. im more just wondering on how to keep an eye on the progress of it and keeping track of it, thats all.. it shouldnt take a year to do so which i hope not, i might be dead by then...lol can you tell me how long it takes to make a single ruff jr? im just wondering, i like the design you have and all. im also thinking of getting the kit fox still in blue..like my ruff jr im getting from you..please let me know, im hoping i get my toy soon like within a week or two...im sorry if i sound like im being an ass or so, but not trying to get anyone upset...

The delivery estimate refers to the time the delivery entity has to deliver the product. That has nothing to do with Zetapaws. I told you, prepare for a VERY LONG WAIT. Not days.. not weeks. Many, many months at least. Here is an example for you: 1) Toy ordered. Next day delivery selected. 2) Toy in queue A year later.... 3)Toy is made A week later.. 4)Toy is 'shipped' Another week later.. 5)Toy is picked up by FedEx driver 6)Toy delivered the next day. That is the way it works. PS: Practice good forum etiquette and DO NOT HIJACK THREADS.

KY used to be my standby. However, recently I've noticed some unwanted reactions when using glycerine lubes so I've been testing out the non-glycerine ones. It has been harrowing sometimes, but it's good blog fodder! I feel that testing over time is the wisest thing to do. What if you fall asleep with the toy inside or the toy rolls under the bed and is not retrieved for a day or two? I agree that more makers should test for toy compatibility, but until we have a real external Consumer Reports style group that does sex toys, freelancers like me are going to have to share our findings as best as we can. I don't care what the bottle says, I care what the bottle does.
