It doesn't matter what religion you hold dear- it seems everyone is working on a celebration! What are your plans for this year?

Also post pictures of your festivities here! It doesn't matter if it's Christmas Cookies or putting up the Festivus Pole, we want to see what you're up to and stare at all your nice, shiny decorations. 

Picture related: my Yule tree. Yes, those are roses on top. Yes it's shaped funny- the spot it's in is funny and I had to make it fit. Apartments are fun sometimes.  I still think it's pretty and that the picture doesn't do the shiny ribbons and many little animal-shaped ornaments inside justice.

A TSO concert and unfortunately, lots of work this time of the year; can we say OVERTIME? I have my tree up and decorated and waiting for some very special packages to arrive from BB here.

Oooh, lucky! Packages are always a lot of fun this time of year, especially when they're the fun kind of package. 

Congrats on being able to see the TSO concert. They're always fun to listen to and I used to adore them when I was younger. I don't think any shows are in town that I'd want to see right now. That's OK, though- I've got lots of cookies to give out and I really love seeing people happy. I've yet to see anyone really turn away cookies!

Wow, I can't believe it's already the 14th! Christmas is creeping up fast!
Plans for this year is a family get together at my uncles house. My family has Christmas eve at one members house and Christmas day at another. Lots of food and lazing around in PJs. Haha.

When you get the chance you should show us some pictures! This thread needs more shininess.

My thoughts exactly.  So far I have given out over 100 cookies and there still are more cookie boxes to go.

I'm not really sure if there's a method to it or not. lol. I think people just offer to host one of the days.
Extended family and friends get a day before Christmas, yesterday was that day because it was the only time we could all get together. My parents, sisters and I spend Christmas evening at my mom's brothers house, they usually have us and their parents over for dinner and lounging. Christmas eve changes houses every year, I'm not sure where it's at yet. lol
Hopefully I can get a pic of our tree later tonight when it's a lit up. It's shinny. hehe

Riding in to wish everyone happy holidaze! Well, at least in my case.

Holiday will be quiet after all the chaos has subsided. I've been cooking straight for 2 weeks, and not a lick of this is for the holiday dinner, yet. I'll get that going friday the 23rd. Large spread of goodies on the table for munchies.

Last week, for parties and gifting, I made 3 triple chocolate cheese cakes, from scratch, a large batch of yeast rolls and bread, and many dozens of cookies, chocolate dipped pretzels and other candies for gifting to teachers and friends. Tomorrow is the last gifting drop off to neighbors. I'm glad I only do this once a year, but I can't resist cooking such goodies. I only wish that it was easire to ship these things because I have several wonderful friends who I would love to share my charms of the kitchen with. *Kitchen witchery is fun* LOL

still have another few days of cooking, the ham, homemade blueberry pie and another triple chocolate cheese cake, along with fixin's.

May your Christmas day, New year and every other day of the year be blessed and full of joy. And always remember, yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift, that is why it is called the Present!!!

Speaking of more shinies, I tried to take photos of some of my ornaments.   We even have a bear!

Oooh... fattening.   I don't care about that "moment on the lips" thing, you only live once so live happy and enjoy a little bit of everything every day! I bet everyone is loving it. We do munchie trays at my house, too. Six kinds of cookies, three chocolates, and some marzipan this year!

We finished giving out the cookies last week along with getting everything together for the dinner. We're going to be lazy: pot roast and random veggies in the crock pot for hours and hours on end. After working on this for months we deserve it! lol.

Nice trees, nice decorations. My kittens decided that my tree needed undecorating.... My beautiful Purple and Green tree with golden lights has been shredded. Balls a miss, ribbons unravled. At least it will be easy to box up. The only thing that did survive was the snowflake lights.

Oh, my hips are beyond... so moment on the lips has nuttin' on my hips...lol I cooked everything early so we had just to warm up and ended up eating ham sandwiches on the homemade yeast rolls that were huge!!! Seemed to please everyone. It's easy where there's just 3 of us.

I hope everyone had a wonderful christmas day. I was glad mine was quiet. Especially because I'm sick again. It never fails, I always get sick over the holidays. Good thing I suppose. Maybe from going 100mph for the last month has finally caughtup with me. Hubby is even ill. Yep, he blamed me.

I do, I was listening to them when I lived in Tampa, Fl back in the late 80s, they used to play their music on the college radio station. Loved them then, love them now. Missed them here because I was sick..lol

Ebil, Ebil kittens in the trees! If they weren't so cute they wouldn't be worth the havoc. lol. This is part of why my tree has animal ornaments inside: kitties always seem to find their way into your tree if you don't watch them. 

Yeah, going full tilt can mess you up. Luckily, I was sick a week before I was supposed to meet everyone so right now I'm Ok. I am tired, though, from lack of sleep and lots of running around! On the bright side I am well fed with enough cookies, chocolates, and candy left over to feed a small army. 

Did anyone else's holiday feel like several days in one? Mine feels like it was three days and one night- I'm tempted to talk about what I did last night as if it was the night after the big meet-up!  I think the fact that I fell asleep during Legend (yes, the 80's movie with the unicorns and elves) kind of did it. I never have seen that film all the way through in one setting even though I've been trying for 20-something years now. I still try to do it, though! lol.
