Need suggestions. I have to do something with myself because I'm out of school for awhile and not currently working full time. I was considering resorting to video games but I have so many to choose from... I need help. So everybody who read this, please post a suggestion for a game to play. I own a PS2, PS3 and Xbox 360. Mostly my collection is PS1-PS2 RPGS with like 3-4 games for the other two. Any ideas would help me out.

you sound like me from time to time, trying to do something in one the games that you had never been able to accomplish.  For me with ff9 it was to take down ozma, I finally did. at lv 85 using Zidane, dagger, eiko, and amarant.

what was wrong with the story, guy likes girl, guy kills everyone for girl, girl falls for guy......hehehe.  I wont ruin the ending for ya but it was worth the playing time for.  I dont like having to get to the end of the game within 12 hours to get the very best weapon in the game.  I always used that team when I could, but I did get every best item, and abilities learned for every character.

As for FF9 in terms of story, it's like Square was trying too hard to fix the mistakes of FF8. I didn't like the tail on Zidane, I thought he was a pathetic thief-like char, as opposed to previous versions such as Locke, Yuffie,  and Faris (Pirate). Even thief from FF1 was cooler than Zidane. I also didn't like the skill systems and such either. It would be hard to go over everything I didn't like because I played that game many years ago and haven't replayed it ever.

oh wow, I loved the game, I have owned it 3 differesnt times.  I agree I dont like the having to earn ability points to learn an ability, but I loved the summons, that made the game for me.  As for the tail and since I doubt your gonna play it again I will give the ending away, kuja figures out how to trance and finds out hes been a puppet to an evil known as necron.  After the battle you find out kuja is still alive, and you find out about the tail.  Kuja cut his off because he found it to be disgraceful, and you find out they are brothers.

MMOs, yes. Huge time sink. Hrm... you could go for the Suikoden games. Individually they're not necessarily all that long, but finding all the Stars can take a few tries. The early ones are a tad expensive, however. Better yet there's Disgaea. MMmm, Disgaea. That'll suck your time away while you build a level 3000 or so character with a level 100 Legendary Yoshitsuna sword to take down the game's ultimate boss. Just for fun, the original Disgaea even includes an equipable... horse wiener. Cheesy For serious, though you DO have to steal it from a one-time enemy. No picture on it, sadly ('cause that would be hilarious), just a "!" for an icon.

Disgaea 3 (which I bought my system for), Dynasty Warriros Gundam 2, then some need for speed game and Sonic Megapack Collection.

As for MMOs, I have WoW (I'm sotra retired for the moment, sick of my guild and I don't like my priest enough to find a new one at the moment). I have also played tons of other MMOs. In fact last week I restarted Maplestory, but I restarted to play with a friend and now it looks like she can't play nearly as much as she first implied, so it's boring. I'm just sick of MMOs because most of the time it isn't about your ability to play the game, it's more about how much ass you can kiss and how many friends you can make. That concept isn't one I support because I'm a person who values actions and merit, not how well somebody can compliment me.

I own Disgaea 1, I have a horse wiener, I don't have max out gear or max out levels because I'm bored. Grinding levels in Disgaea games gets to be somewhat boring after a certain point, either you're mindlessly slaughtering weaklings in item world or you're getting one shotted in Land of Carnage. :x

Ah, I just really wanted to take down Baal. It actually doesn't take all that long, if you have a good set up. 2-3 hours, I think. Though it might take another dozen hours before that just to get the set up made. Did it for a Thief to steal with, then Laharl to lay waste with. Just have to get up the desire to do it in Disgaea 2, now. So how's 3? I don't think that I plan to get a PS3, but I'm still curious.

Disgaea 3 is incredible. I convinced one of my friends to get a PS3 for this game also. it's basically a whole new 3d Battle system that relies more effort in planning out battle strats. The characters are pretty cool too. One of my main peevs is they changed "winged slayer" so it's no longer a 3x3 attack, so you have to pump levels with some other skills or methods. Also, to tranfer skills above rank 3-4 you have to have a pupil learn the skill and then have the master steal it.

Items can level above 200 now, enemies can go up to 9999, but for every level they should be above 9999, they get bonus stats. So even with a super strong party, you can instantly be destroyed in LoC item world.

There's a new thing called Classworld which allows you to boost your char's stat % potentials, so that is nice, but you can only do it a certain amount of times per transmigration. Also, the enemies of Classworld are relative to the char used, so if you go into the Classworld of your strongest char, you're more than likely going to die. Cheesy

That said, this game is incredible, it has a fun storyline and I love it to death, it's just that sometimes it gets to a point where it's boring to try and just stat grind.

I'm considering picking up Persona 4 again, I just forget where I left off...
