Ok, I'm a first time owner here and just received Helmutt in the mail today! I'm so very, very pleased with this toy even though I haven't even opened it out of the bag yet.  Already I know I'm going to have a lot of fun with this toy and I want to know how to make it last as long as possible?  Any tips, techniques, ideas or suggestions you guys who own the toys have for keeping it clean or making it last longer please let me know.  The comments are well appreciated and I plan on ordering many more toys in the future from here. :3

Since its silicone, to clean it just do something like:
    Throw it in the dishwasher
Boil some water and then slowly place it in (I suggest not putting it in until the flame is off just incase)
Fill up a bucket or sink full of hot water and soap and let it soak for 10+ minutes

I myself do something different.  Run it under water until most everything is off (lube or anything else) and then put some soap on the toy and hand scrub it until its practically pure white.  Then I start filling up the sink with hot water and put some soap in while its still filling up to get it all mixed in.  Then put the toy in and let soak (or just skip the last part and only wash the soap off).  When I come back I usually give it another hand wash.

After washing them do you put talc or any other kind of powder on the silicone toys after they have been used?

You shouldn't have to. The purpose of talc was primarily to absorb the "sweat" that PVC (gel) toys gave off (which are plasticizers or somesuch, they give the toy flexibility). They'd (apparently) stick to bags, make messes, etc., that talc helped to prevent. Silicone doesn't have that problem; it's a stable material. It's non-porous, so all you have to do is clean the surface well and the bacteria are gone. Drying them well is a good idea, but shouldn't be too difficult since they shed pure water like mad.

Also, don't use silicone-based lube with your silicone toys; the two can react and damage the toy. Stick to water-based or oil-based lubes!

The popular and cheap lubes: KY, Astroglide, WET, etc. are water-based, as are their knockoff counterparts. The thicker "jelly" lubes have less water in them, but are still water-based.

I'm going that direction when I run out of my next tube. One, it's cheaper; and two, it can be made to the consistency that I want it. These new silicone toys are just EATING my current lube; they seem to require more of it.

The melting point of silicone is 932 degrees fahrenheit and silicone bakeware can be used up to 675 fahrenheit.
So, to get it extra clean you could just go ahead and boil it, though I wouldn't recommend using a pot you plan to use for food later.
