Welcome to the forum hope your stay is pleasurable and fufilling.
A toy would definately be a good replacement for not owning a pet at the moment, if your used to the regular puppies i would say either the timber wolf toy or the boxie the foxie toy would be good starters for ya ^,^

i think i would prefer something closer to akita, though...

Timber might suffice well, though.

your welcome ^,^ i wasnt really sure how experienced you were thus the one small and one semi big toy ^,~ but yeah if your looking for something bigger timber or akita are definately the way to go.
