Just a thought, but could ZC make a toy made of glass?

That sure would be pretty (I'm a sucker for pretty glasswork) but I don't think this will happen anytime soon. Glasswork requires a lot of specialized equipment and skills and finding a glassblower willing and able to make things shaped like Zeta toys would not be easy or cheap! If a little glass wand runs you about $30 can you picture how much a glass THOR would cost? o.0

And assuming glass is heavier than silicone, I don't imagine that many people who are skilled with Thor normally would be able to use him.  And it doesn't give like silicone or gel, so...that'd be an epic workout...

LOL yeah that would probably cost a pretty penny. But i was thinking about maybe doing some smaller sizes. To keep cost down and for play since there will be no flexability at all.

while glass would be fun, the cost for a glass ZC would be very high.. it would probably take BB months to find someone capable of making it. it's not exactly a skill most glass blowers practice Wink

I have considered the idea, but it would be very very cost intensive.
I also dont like the idea of glass, as all it takes is the tiniest of slivers to turns ones insides into hamburger :/

yeeaaaa...  i just dont understand glass toys, they scare me for just that reason...  now, marble or steel, that's something that would make me laugh.  Toys that would be able to out live the owner.  imagine passing that on as a family heirloom  Grin Grin Grin

Actually, many better quality glass toys are made of tempered glass (kind of like Pyrex) which doesn't tend to chip or break easily. Not only that, with glassware at home I've found that rounded edges tend to chip less often due to the fact they just deflect the blows. Still it's a good idea to check glass carefully before use and to not use anything that looks like it could be chipped, cracked or broken, even if made from tempered glass.

Back on subject... tempered glass is even more expensive than normal glass last I heard. Yeah... definitely a cost ineffective idea, even if a pretty idea. A stone or metal zeta? Now that would be interesting to see! It probably would also be expensive, however, with insane shipping due to weight.
