yesterday was both good and bad here at Zeta.

  I worked almost all day outside trying to get things ready for the garden and trimming some trees back that had been damaged in a storm last year, and couldn't get around to em till now.

So the homestead is slowly looking better.
But it seems the more I do and clean, the more there is to do, and the more I realize I had let things slide here for fat too long :/
But I cant change the past, all I can do is go from here and try to do things better in the future.

On a happy note, I have dropped about 5 pounds over the past few weeks, so im quite happy with that start

on a sad note though, I was concerned about the kittens as I hadn't heard them in a few days and went to check and see.
I thought the mom had just moved em to another place, but I found them there.
She must have had them too early as they were too small to survive :/
Probably the stress of being dumped off in a strange place and being alone.

I wrapped the 3 small kittens in a towel and buried them beside a still pond in my yard, and marked the grave with a large flat stone.

its so sad to find something like that.
but they are at peace now.

well I better get back to work before I start to get too mushy again.

Definitely very sad, I just adopted an Akita that was taken from its owner for neglect. He kept it outside chained up and the poor dog had to eat garbage. He was rescued by the Blue Moon Akita Rescue here in Denver. After he was treated for all kinds of worms, heartworms included, he was given a bath and brush and then shown to me and my mate. We took him out on walk and when we got back to the rescue and was put into a room with him, he laid down and let me given him a belly rub.

So, I'm right there with you Bear!

Its surprising how a critter can worm their way into your heart, and how bad it hurts when they leave us

finally slowing down for the evening here.
Its been a pretty good day over all here at Zeta.

we managed to make a trip down to town to make a shipment of toys and pickup some shipping supplies, then over to the store for a few groceries, then back home.

Its been a nice day as far as temp goes, and been nice and drizzling rain all day here, so very relaxing on that part.

Now all I have to do tonight before I am off till Wednesday is to make a few toys for Thursdays shipment, and to make a few care packs.
Other than that, all my messages and e-mails are taken care of
So I am happy about that
No more long waits for replies to anything here.
And I don't plan to EVER let it get back to the way it use to be.

  well, I better scoot and get the rest of my work done, take care everyone

Yes, I hope that we can enrich each other's lives as well. Yes, I know when he is gone that I will miss him terribly just like my Olde English Bulldog Molly who passed away about two years ago of Lymphatic Cancer. My mate put together a memorial video for her and posted it on YouTube for everyone to see it.

Im sure you have already made a difference in his life

Some of the best pups ive ever had were those that were strays, or no one wanted.
They just seem to come to life when someone shows them care and love, and they become soo close to you, its hard to believe.

Yes, that is true. I do believe that we have made a large difference in his life all ready. He has a roof over his head, plenty to eat and he goes out for daily walks. Somethings his former owner never did.

well im back at work and making toys as fast as I can here
It was nice being off yesterday, and I spent most of the day doing not much of anything at all, just watching a few dvd's and kicking back on the couch.
about the only work I did was house chores, then I cutup and burned an old pear tree that died of disease, so it had to be destroyed.

so far today ive taken care of all the e-mails and my quota for the day. now ill be making tomorrows toys here in just abit.

Just sitting here and typing now, as I watch a thunderstorm slowly roll in and make it get darker here, and I can hear abit of rolling thunder in the distance

welp, im off to work now

been a looong day here at Zeta, but all in all I am happy with all the work I got done today

Sorted through a lot of older paperwork, and have gotten tomorrows bunch ready to go, plus I did todays batch plus all the calls/e-mails/everything customer related taken care of
It can be hard at time to take care of everything that comes in, but I do it and just move on, trying to make everyone as happy as I can with what they are asking me at the time.

I did have to go to town for abit and get some groceries, then had to top off the tank as we had a good sized thunderstorm rolling in.
We learned the hard way last year when the power was out to make sure everything was topped off and to have lots of batteries, etc. ready for the bad weather.

Its surprising how quickly all the stores can run out of pretty much everything in a hurry, even fuel quickly vanishes.

So we now keep the vehicles as close to topped as we can just in case, plus the ambulance can serve as a backup genny if needed.

well ive rambled on enough, time to feed the fish and shut down for the night.

its abit after 1 am here, and I am bushed.

I have worked through all my material, so I will be out for a few days next week while I wait for more of it.

It is kind of annoying as I find it hard to go through a work day and not meat my quota of orders filled.
Makes me feel odd, as if im not doing enough to get caught up or to help folks.
But I suppose that cant be helped when I am out of supplies :/

I will still be keeping on top of e-mails, messages, calls, etc., so I will NOT fall behind again on customer service.

It makes me cringe when I think about how badly I was backed up on that.

Not much else has happened here as of late, its been way to wet and rainy to do much of anything outside, so ive been focused on making toys and e-mails.

well im gonna scoot and go enjoy the rest of the night, and my day off tomorrow

been an odd day, but not all to bad.
 Finally made it down to town and made a shipment, thought it was funny cause the guy at the door told me I was gonna kill him with all the packages I was bringing, so I thought that was funny

other than that, we stopped by the store to get a few groceries, then back home for lunch, and more work here.

Im still working on tonights batch, so I will be posting todays numbers here in just a few.
I went ahead and ordered more material today, so it should be here either Wednesday or Thursday, so I can start whipping em out again like ive been doing

well I better get back to work, so I can finish em up tonight.

Been  long day today.
Neither my mate or I have felt well for most of the day, but both of us are starting to do better now.
So I am here at work and about to make a batch of toys for tomorrows numbers

I started feeling better about 6 pm, so I went ahead and did some weed eating and mowing, for some reason it seems to make me feel better and more able to concentrate on what I still need to do.

And it does help to make me feel better, well after a rest and a shower it does

Ive already responded to everything in everything, so I better get my rump up and moveing so I can get these done for tomarrow

Hey Bear, I know you want to catch up on those back orders, but don't push yourself too hard; get some rest. Because, if you go down hard, that back log will go from manageable to the size of Mount Everest in a short period of time.
