Meanwhile I have jury duty on Monday and things are starting to look icy again out here.  I wish I could stay in where it's warm. I keep hoping the courthouse will close, though things are funny here. District Court was closed due to snow on Thursday, but Circuit Court wasn't closed even though they share the same building. I am being called in to jury duty for Circuit Court! Well that stinks! Hopefully you can call early that morning and find out! If you do have to go, hopefully it won't be too bad! |

Court went on as usual, but, luckily the weather wasn't too bad. The snow tapered off to ice mid-Sunday and the road crews did all the rest. There was still black ice or even snow on the roads in some areas, but sticking to the main roads kept it from being unmanageable. Things are pretty clear and cold out here now, though they're calling for more snow around Christmas!  Also on the bright side: even though I technically still have duty time left, the judge said that there were no more cases for us to go to. Yay! I'm so glad things ended early, especially with how erratic the weather has been this winter. |

They're calling for up to TEN INCHES tonight and tomorrow night where I live.
Seriously crazy! Apparently we're under some winter storm warning. I don't think it's ever snowed this much in the southern US so close to and on Christmastime since I can remember....

Thanks, I'm going to try! I am fortunate to have Christmas Day and the next two days off so I'm going to be completely lazy and lounge around the house, drinking hot cocoa and not even bothering to go out in the mess. LOL |

Watch out though, our time is coming here in the Rockies! March and April are the heaviest snow months so I suspect that snow will be measured in feet at that time; LOL! |

Whoa, I live in Southern NJ and we pretty much never get snow more than three inches or so, and we're supposed to end up with a grand total of about 12- 20.

I'm very warm and toasty =) They declared a state of emergency since this is more snow than we normally get all year, and that means I get off work today. Can't beat that! And with my new boots from Christmas I will probably be playing in the snow with my dogs all day. Enjoy the snow it must be really neat to actually feel a cold day in the South. |

They declared a state of emergency since this is more snow than we normally get all year, and that means I get off work today. Can't beat that! We got about two feet out here. Not bad for living near the sea! Then again, it's nothing compared to the snow I used to see in the mountains. I remember one year wading around in snow up to my chest! Needless to say, we didn't leave the house for awhile.  Most of the snow is gone now, but stubborn ice is clinging to everything in large glistening mounds. It's sort of pretty. |

I used to like the snow when I was a kid. But now that I'm an old fart, I don't like the snow and cold. It has been way too cold for me as the temps have been at least 10 degrees below normal in SW MI. But there is some advantages of stying in doors.  Yesterday (Thursday) was play time for us and wifey got off several times with her favorite toy (Ruff Stuff). This morning she announced "Play time tomorrow." Ahh the anticipation. I am so looking forward to doing her with the Ruff Stuff toy tomorrow. Larry |
