Hi i have had my Kitfox toy for little over a year now, maybe longer but ever since i have had it it has been this way (please see the images bellow.) Surly it shouldn't look like this. I have another toy (timber wolf) which is sooo much better and it even looks better. I am only saying this now as i saw in the forums other people have had this and it is in fact a manufacturer error.

    Timber Wolf - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v688/sphereuk/Timber.jpg

    Kit Fox - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v688/sphereuk/22.jpg - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v688/sphereuk/21.jpg - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v688/sphereuk/41.jpg - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v688/sphereuk/42.jpg

Is there anything which can be done?

    Thanks in advanced

sadly that is a defect in the silicone itself. a number of toys had this problem. send in a support ticket to let bear (or which ever admin that sees it)  know and they can help you to replace it.

That second toy that you said was a "Kit Fox" looks like an Akita or a Boxy to me. The Akita mold was defective and bear was doing a recall on Akitas for awhile. The mold has been fixed, though, so you should be able to get a working one. Smiley The Boxy might have been effected, but I don't know. The Kit fox was unaffected, which is why I wanted to say something.

As far as I can see the timber looks nice and shiny.

The boxie you have there was an old copy that had trouble, if you will send it back I will make you a new one.

So this was a problem with the toy's mold or the toy itself? Because mine Boxie looks exactly the same here http://www.zoofur.com/forum/index.php/topic,955.msg14680.html#msg14680

Does this mean the toy will have problems, lower life expectantcy?

Just want to know because, if I should get him replaced I will, if it's not really a concern then I'd rather not bug BB with a replacement. My boxie has no problems pleasuring those using him.

I'm not bear, but it looks like it's mostly a texture issue. As long as nothing is bubbled, breaking or obviously damage to the toy's integrity and you don't mind your toy having a unique texture, I'd say to keep it. Silicone is safe for the body, so even if some did flake off inside you you're fine! It's only things like bubbles, breaks, and tears that really make a toy unusable.

Personally, if there isn't any long term issues with using it as it is, I say keep it as is. Unless you are unsure or uncomfortable with it.
I think it would add a unique feel due to the texture that it has now. Some people would love to have something textured that unusual. Interesting feature nonetheless. I would defiantly try it on for size. Cheesy

My boxie is exactly the same... Got the pictures to prove it. But I can't send it back from Europe (huge shipping costs that equal the value of the toy easily) plus I don't feel comfortable returning a used toy anyway.
Too bad, guess I can't get a proper made one then...?

First off, any toys that are coming apart should not be used unless covered with a condom. Some people may not care about having flakes of silicone stuck up them, but microscopic rifts could be forming in the cracks and flakes of the toy and bacterium could be forming, which is gross and unsafe.

Urgh... that's a bummer, I don't like using a condom over a natural toy like Boxie. Sad

So... how will this be handled then? I hope to hear how European customers can get a proper toy.

I agree about the sanitary issues. Totally. I don't see where a thin condom would be an issue taking away from the textured feel of the toy. But than, that's just me.

It might not be as much as you think, considering the end result.
