Too Long; Don't Read is at the bottom.
An update on #3549?
As I said before here in the forums, I'm at 8 months. I wouldn't have blinked at a one month wait period, two months wouldn't have been bad, three months would have been expected because of the '2-10 week disclaimer', four months was meh 'a little slow', five months was annoying, six months was a pain, seven months was ridiculous, and now eight months is making me angry. Come on, I *want* to like this company so much, not just because of the perceived high quality work, but just as much for the community that has grown around it, however, the wait times have gone on long enough.
People in general get impatient when the plumber doesn't show up on time, or when the food doesn't arrive quick enough with the sign clearly says '15 minutes or less...'! I don't know how you've managed to do it, but you've pulled in a group of customers with the patience of saints and they back you whole heartedly here on the forums. I know, I've practically become one of them over the months here on the forums, but its been 8 months since I placed my order. I have been very calm in waiting for my order, but I'm reaching the end of rope here when it comes to dealing with the company. ZETA community, I LOVE you guys, and you've all been a great help and you've provided a lot of knowledge and insight how things work, but honestly *do not* want to end up like everyone else who has waited a year + to get their toy.
I want to see some progress being made on my order. It is a simple black Kit Fox with medium firmness, and all I've ever recieved from the tickets, like all four that I've sent in, was: "backed up here, Bear" or "Working on it, will be out soon, Bear", "Will be out in a couple weeks, Bear" or something to that effect. If I had known that I would have waited 8 months so far, and still seen no progress, I wouldn't of ever ordered anything from this site. I went and placed my money on a toy under the '2-10 weeks' estimated time, and worst case scenario, maybe three months. At the time the stories in the forums pretty much reflected the estimated timeline other than a few stand outs, and I placed my order. Then about four months in I really started to realize that things weren't going like I planned, and I started to become a little concerned. But you know what? I calmed down, took a couple deep breaths, and then proceeded to wait patiently. Another four months pass and all I get is "we're backed up". As time goes on, I see order numbers way ahead of mine being shuttled out the door, and so far the only thing I've seen that gets any progress is massive amounts of complaining and threats to Paypal or whatever.
I'm not that kind of guy. I paid for the product, I want to receive it in a timely manner. Not too much to ask, right? I am pretty sure that the kit fox is one of your more popular models, but I don't see why it would take 8 months to get one toy made. Granted there are hundreds of orders to fill, but you've had my money for 8 months, and I'd like little more than an update. Something concrete would be nice.
TL;DR: Bottom line is I have been waiting for 8 months for my toy. I WANT to have a Zeta Paws product. I WANT to be a returning customer. I WANT to review the toy and participate in the awesome community that is here. However, frequent delays and half sentence answers are making it hard for me to want to stay here. I wont ask for a refund becuase I want the product, and its not like I purchased some $100+ toy, and I absolutely will not try make threats with Paypal and the like, because thats just lowballing it for me. I'm patient and reasonable, and I like the company, but I don't think that results are too much to ask for. HELP ME want to still be apart of the community.
PS. A little disjointed and all over the place, but I had to leave and come back to the computer multiple times to write this.

53 Views and still no responses or input?
Usually people here jump at the chance to help out, but then again, I guess there really isn't a sense of urgency since I'm not calling Bear a thief, a liar, and a terrible salesperson. Nor am I demanding a refund or requesting an audit onto Zeta's workshop, or threatening with some form of action from paypal. :/ I'm a guy who spent 45$ dollars on a product 8 months ago under the notion that it would take 2-10 weeks to get it finished.
I saw in Bear's Den thread that he ran out of material on the 8th of November. It is now the 22nd of November, and it seems that the past week or so Bear has been strangely quiet. I understand that he cant get on the forums every day, and that he can't answer every ticket (that he has a great volunteer corp to help him out), but just not getting any answers is very, very upsetting. As a waiting Zeta customer, I feel I've taken my fair share of punches, endured enough black eyes and spent enough time waiting out in the cold, just like everyone else here, so some answers would be nice. 8 months, soon to be 9 come December.
I'm not saying I know it all, nor do I know how to exactly run a business, but if you're low on material, buy more the next time around. If you've got a lot of purchases for a particular toy, make another mold for it so you can increase supply to keep up demand. The business basics. I'm glad that you've hired another staff member to help you make the toys, but one can't help but feel a little put off by the amount of time it takes to make one of these toys and have it shipped out. I may not know how to cure silicon, but I'm sure if you sent me the mold and some instructions, I could of made my own Kit Fox a long time ago, albiet at the cost of numerous tries and mess ups....but I'd have it... and I'd be able to enjoy it... and review it.
I'm not trying to be rude here, but something needs to be done. Too many people are waiting for a llloooooooonnnnnngggg time to get something that newer customers are recieving within a reasonable amount of time. You've got mah moneh brah, nao product plz. :3

Bear, when you read this, I'm sorry to hear about your grandparents. I know full well what its like to lose a parent and a my grandparents as well. It sucks pretty hard core, especially when you lose them within one year like you and me have. I checked your 'Bear's Den' thread and all I saw was that you were out of material, I didn't bother to check further back. All I can say is that I sympathize with you, because its hard to lose people you care about, but keep your chin up, spirits high, and keep moving forward. I doubt your family would want to see you mope around for weeks on end waiting for the pain to go away...when you and I know that it never will. It can only dull and be made bearable until a sight or memory reopens the wounds and it starts all over again. I almost cry every time I see a 70' or older Mustang, because its the exact same model my grandparents owned when they died. (I'm also a little sad that they left it to my youngest cousin...who won't be old enough to drive for three more years. I received a tattered old family album with pictures of my great grandparents... but I have no idea where it is now, it got lost by the moving company apparently. ) But anyways, best wishes man, I know you need them.

Sent in a ticket 6 weeks ago. Still haven't gotten a response. Sent in a ticket two weeks ago. Haven't gotten a response. 9 months I've wait for my toy. I saw here on the forum that some has even waited 15 months! That is ludicrous!
I would like some answers, I think I've been more than patient.

I really need a secretary here :/
I havnt been trying to ignore you, nor anyone else here on thier toy orders, we are working our collective nubby tails off to get as much out of here as fast as we can, and are finally starting to make some head way.
About your order: order #3549 is being worked on right now, so it should be finished in about 7-10 more days.
I appreciate your patience here as we work to get through this rather rough patch.

Awesome, I am glad to hear it. I know you're understaffed man, but sometimes things shouldn't take as long as they have been. Things have been rough, boy do I know it, so I am an understanding guy, but sometimes a reaallllllllllllllyyyyy long wait can compound some emotions. I'm glad to see that you're making some progress, and I wish you the best of luck.

Hello, been almost a month since you said that my toy would be finished in 7-10 days. Still nothing on the "to be made" list as well as the "ready to be shipped" and "shipped" sections. Ten months in total, Bear. I would like an update on my item. Thank you very much.

Hey bear, its been seventeen days since you said that it would be finished and out, and I've been checking my email, and I haven't received any tracking information for the toy or any confirmation that it has been made. Whats up? I can understand that you've been busy and all, but still... Thanks, ~Psylent

Hey bear, been almost a month since you posted your message above. Still haven't heard or seen anything about the order. Come on man, I know you're busy, but there is no excuse. What you're doing is like me telling one of my professors that I will have a ten page paper finished by next week near the end of the semester, and then turning it in after two months of summer break. Just get it done, please, I'm getting *really* tired of this back and forth nonsense. I'm sitting at eleven months here.

He MIGHT be out of town soon. Send BB some e-mails too as he might check those in that meantime. That sort of stringing along is plain rude. I hope you get some progress soon. Good luck!
