My mom is in the hospitol with MRSA in her blood stream and Endocarditis. She also has Pneumonia caused by the MRSA.

Right now they have her in a drug induced coma to lessen the pain and have a tube down her throat to help her breathe.

I am trying to get up some money so I can go be by her side along with my brother and sister. I'm worried she isn't going to make it. I've never experienced a death of someone close and I think this is going to be really hard and I hope I can get to her before anything really bad happens.

If anyone can spare anything that will help me please do so, you can donate to my Paypal at wolfdogpup@hotmail.com by clicking here. Anything anyone can donate will greatly help me to come up with the funds to get to Utah.

It's gonna cost me around $1500 to get plane tickets to Utah and back, and a hotel. Right now I have about $400 available.

Might be able to drive across Colorado quicker. $400's enough for gas. If you don't have a car offer anything in trade with someone who does and might be able to help.

My mate has a car but the front Tie rod is messed up and I don't trust it across Colorado and the $400 i have is actually a valcher for Delta Airlines =/ the plane tickets are about $550 each and I got something set up for the hotel already cause I used to work at the hotel. I need about $600 for the second plane ticket and money for food while I'm there. As well as money for either a rent-a-car or bus fare

I'm so sorry.  I'm a poor college kid without a job so I can't assist financially, unfortunately, but I'll keep her in my prayers (not sure whether you believe in it or not, but it's all I can do to help).  For what it's worth, life's greatest tragedies shape us into the people we need to be, and constructively overcoming such great burden can lend great mental strength and willpower to future struggles against adversity.

I echo Schii's thoughts on prayer, and not just for your mom's health but for you also.  If you could send me pm with your names I will have you both added to our churches prayer list, and if you have any updates please let us know.

They said she wouldn't survive the surgery and she was going to die without it. The decision was made to take her off the ventilator, they kept her sedated on morphine. I tried to stay in the room but I couldn't watch her in that state. I had to leave the room while it happened.

She passed today at about noon MTN time  Cry

Her ashes are going to be spread out in the mountains where her father's were.
Me and some others are going to get a small vial of some of the ashes too.

Thank you all for your continued support.

    *hugs hard*

I've never experienced what you're going through, so I can't say "I know how you feel," and I think that would trivialize it anyway.  Just know that you have a lot of people behind you in support, and if there's anything we can do to help we'll jump at the chance.

Sorry for your recent loss. Loosing a loved one is NEVER easy, but it is a little less difficult when you have family and friends that are there for you. I lost my grandmother a few years ago just before Thanksgiving. She had Alzheimers and had stopped eating a few days before she passed away also drugged up. It was probably more difficult with Alzheimers because it's like watching a computer with a virus on it eat up the hard drive until there is nothing left. She had no idea who my mother and I were nor who anybody else was at the place she was at, but at least in the end, she didn't suffer too much. *HUGS*

So, I was with the rest of the family at the mortuary to help plan everything and stuff. We will be having a nice memorial service at my mom's church on Tuesday at 10am, she is going to be cremated and most of her ashes spread where her father's were. Me and my siblings went to her apt yesterday and picked up some things to remember her by and stuff. she didn't have any insurance from what I heard and no Will or anything. The cost of the cremation and stuff came to around $2200, idk how much the obituary will be, one of my cousins was able to help out with $1000, and I think my mom's church is going to help out with the rest.
I can post the obituary up here later if anyone cares to see it.

    Thank you all <3
