another day and still no power.
this is getting ridculous to say the least, plus this heat makes it flat out nasty.

Battery backup died so we had to run an extention cord to the truck where we have a small inverter, thats the only way I can be on here.

we are working on a way to power up some equipment so I can try and ame some toys at the shop, but well have to wait and see.

this is very annoying because I was caughtup on most e-mails and was really starting to make headway with orders when everything up and died.

please understand if I cant cant check on anything else yet.

they fiiinaly got power back on here a few hours ago.
Now I have to play catchup all over again with e-mails.

My mate went out earlier (just a few minutes before hte power came back on here) to the grocery store to get us somehing to eat.
while he was there he talked to the people who run the store and they told him that power at that time was still off to most of the county, and that the store manager had talked to the national guard who was supposed to be bringing a load of ice into town for folks, then at the last minute they changed their mind and decided to take it to a bigger city that already had power. so he cussed them up one side and down the other, then hung up on em.

in this heat, fuses can get really short.

but we are back up and running, and I will be makeing a batch of toys tonight.
well those that were supposed to be made Friday, before the storm hit.

we are working on a small solar powered cart with a car battery so we can do small jobs and charge batteries etc when the power is out.
also gonna get a bigger inverter so I can pullup next to the shop and run enough equipment on it to at least make some toys.

it would be good as well to get a small wind turbine as a back up for the solar panel i personally fine that wind turbine are more effective and less need for maintenance then a solar panel but a small unit may come in handy as a back up or extra juice.

    (UPDATE)

I figured out finally how to do it Smiley

I had to transfr my .dbx files onto a SD card and move it to the new computer, then convert them over to .eml files, then I used a plugin in Thunderbird to import them into the program.

Im transfering them now, and as soon as that is done im gonna try and printout some postage for a box or 2 and see if it works.

then my big rump is going to bed for abit Tongue
Ive been banging my head all night trying to figure it out.

    HELP NEEDED.

ok, my old comp decided to pretty much die on me, it had been having los of problems for awhil.

So I am now on a new desktop computer and getting it set up nicely.
now the problem I am having is that I am trying to import all my old messages from windows XP in outlook express over to Windows 7 with thunderbird.

ive been trying for over a day now to figure out how to make it work and so far all im doing is loosing my mind.

I need to get it done as soon as possible so I can start shipping out orders again.

if someone can help me with this problem and get it fully working, id be more than happy to send you a free 3 toy set (teaser, Slip Knot, and a small cone shaped toy I havnt released yet)

If you can resolve this, let me know and the toys are yours.

Have you tried throwing them onto like an external hard drive and than importing them onto your new machine? I don't use outlook express so I'm guessing this might work. But I'm sure you've already thought of this.

The only other thing I can think of if forwarding all your messages.

well the creative juices were flowing last night, and I am close to makeing the furst in a lineof 4 new toys I did last night.
Just have to wait a week or so before I can see how well they will turnout.

also need to have a short poll to find out a name for the new dragon with balls, so I can put him up for sale.

Sounds great on that one. The new dragon with balls does need a name, perhaps Cobalt should be put on the list of possible names. Smiley Wink

Still here plugging away and makeing toys.
it has been a pain in the rump roast over the past week as weve been sick as dogs here with some type of cold or flu, but things are getting better now.
Koda is back and is working on a dozen orders to get out tomarrow, and I will be finishing up the large german distributor order, so we can get those out of the way tomarrow.

The shop will be closed probably tomarrow or friday as we have a crew out here to do some major and much needed repairs to the shop.
What the reapirs are, is that the Zeta shop was purchased a few years back (Cool i believe, and is a large used mobile home, well over time the ground under the shop has setled and the pillars (concrete blocks that support the weight) have shifted so much that the shop is leaning and about to fall over Tongue
we both tiptoe around as we are afraid itll go any time now, so i hired a crew to come out and redo it professionally for me.
I have done it once or twice over the years, but this is just too bad for me to mess with.

So while we work on toys, we also have to go through and pull all the art and such off the walls and set it in the floor, etc so nothing is damaged in the move.

I am both looking forward to having it done so itll be back tonormal and we can get more done in a day, and also afraid that it will collapse as soon as they hook the machine upto it.
So well see how it goes.

Wish us luck, and well keep working till they get here.
